You have probably heard the phrase, Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway. Some of you may live by that mantra. Others may feel the fear and let it paralyze them, never taking risks, living a life of safety and complacency. Fear is a natural emotion that we all feel at times, and that can keep us safe when facing danger or something that we are ill prepared for. Fear can prompt us to do more research when embarking on a new venture, and it can serve as the impetus for better planning. But fear can sometimes also stop us dead in our tracks, serving as a barrier to personal and professional growth. Is there a happy medium? Yes!

The Intersection of Fear and Excitement

When clients come to me for coaching around specific issues that they want to do or try but fear is holding them back, I almost always coach them around the intersection of fear and excitement. Let me demonstrate.

Think about something you would like to do, try, or embark on that you haven’t yet because fear has reared its ugly head. For one reason or another, you have fear around trying this activity, doing this task, or embarking on this journey. It makes no difference whether it is personal or professional. It could be as big as starting a new business, changing jobs, or relocating, or a smaller undertaking like startin g a blog or trying a new hobby.

Now, see if you also have excitement around trying this task, activity or new journey. Can you answer yes to the excitement part? If so, great! If you were to look at this potential undertaking as a pie, how much of your reaction and emotion around doing it is fear and how much is excitement? In order for you to overcome the fear, there has to be some excitement to balance it out! And if excitement is a bigger piece of the pie, even better. You will be able to move forward with more confidence knowing that your excitement will help guide the way and cancel out some of the fear.

What if the fear is an overwhelmingly larger piece of the pie than excitement? Does this mean you are doomed to stay stuck forever? Not necessarily. You may not have done enough research or due diligence to get excited about it yet. Excitement often comes when we can start to actually “see” our dreams and future plans take shape, and that can take more time to work out in our minds before the excitement sets in. But if you never feel any excitement about this undertaking and fear is the big black cloud hanging over this, chances are, it is either not the right path for you… or your fear is too large to overcome at this time. So then, what do you do?

Do a Trial Run

You can do a trial run of your undertaking but in a way that feels safer, and perhaps smaller. For example, before opening your business, spend some time interning or shadowing a professional that does what you want to do for a living. This will give you a taste of what it would be like to be a business owner doing that work be fore you actually start it. Likewise, if you want to write a book, but fear keeps holding you back, start by writing a blog or a series of articles. Usually, doing a smaller version or trial run of the undertaking will quell some of the fear and get you pumped up!

Just Do It

In the words of the popular Nike advertising campaign, just do it! Yes, I mean it. Just close both eyes and dive into the deep end. Or in my case, keep your eyes wide open and hands on the wheel, as my fear was driving over bridges. I love to drive and have been doing so since my teenage years. I drive long distances and cover a lot of miles for speaking engagements and personal travel. However, for years, I was afraid of driving over bridges. Strangely enough, I am not afraid of heights, but something about bridges just freaked me out. So what did I do? I drove over a lot of bridges! It helped allay my fears, “conditioned” me to get used to it, and realize I can do it successfully. Doing the actual activity that I was afraid of took a lot of the power out of the fear that I had been giving to it. The fear got less and less until one day I was driving over a bridge a few years ago and realized I no longer felt the fear.

Did I develop excitement about driving over bridges? I wouldn’t go that far! But I did get excited about where driving over bridges could take me. I have become a huge fan of road trips and take them often.

So, what would you do if you could overcome your fear? Figure out if your pie includes at least equal parts excitement and then take a big old bite out of it and dig in!

“Speak” to you soon!

bookaholicI know it is June, so it may seem strange to bring up New Year’s resolutions. But in some ways, it is perfect. What’s the point of setting a New Year’s Resolution if you don’t commit to it? So I thought I’d share mine with you in case you want to try it yourself at any point in the year, or perhaps as inspiration to get back to your own New Year’s Resolution.

I woke up in 2015 and realized that all I did was read business content all the time. And while that may be great for a business owner, I was getting bored with it. Thus, I made a resolution to go back to reading for pleasure, which has always been one of my favorite hobbies since I first learned to read as a child.

I absolutely love to read. It is one of my great joys in life. But I had reached a point where I felt my reading always had to somehow improve my business or provide skills or information that I could pass onto my clients. It started to feel like a chore, and a nagging to-do list. My stack of “to read” business books lined my shelves, but when I looked at them, I wasn’t jazzed to dig in.

So I decided to do an about face and go back to my first love, which was reading for pleasure. I joined the Goodreads challenge and set a goal for 12 books in 2015, all personal, non-business. I wound up reading 15 books last year and loved every minute of it! I wasn’t as serious about it in the first half of the year, but once I took a month off and went to Italy last summer, I couldn’t stop reading for pleasure!!!

me_before_youSo that brought me to January 2016 and setting this year’s New Year’s Resolution. I decided to up the ante and set 24 books to read for the year. I have already passed that and am up to 27 books to date. So I just raised my 2016 reading goal to 45.

I took all the business books away from my nightstand and replaced them with personal books. I’ve joined some awesome online virtual book clubs, and now I’m devouring a book a week! I always have a book I’m reading. And I do still read the old fashioned book versions. I bring them with me everywhere I go so if I have any “found time,” I read. I also make time for reading in my day — every day now. Furthermore, I downloaded an app called Overdrive, which allows me to borrow audio books and ebooks for free from my local library. So now while I read one traditional bound book, I also listen to an audiobook (not at the exact same time of course!). I love listening to books while I exercise, walk my dogs, cook, drive in my car, etc.

the_year_we_turned40I have never been a fan of reading a book on a device. But with all of the business travel I do, I decided to give it a try. I downloaded the Kindle app onto my iPad and voila, a whole new world of e-reading is at my fingertips. I admit that it is still not my favorite way to read, but when traveling for 10 days to 2 weeks, it sure beats lugging around hard cover or even paperback books.

And here’s an added benefit. Reading has sparked renewed interest in a major hobby that I had put aside… writing! I have always loved writing. I have been keeping a journal since I am 8 years old (yes, by hand!). I wrote and published an organizing and life coaching book years ago, which was a fabulous experience. But again, that was business focused. My first love of writing was always personal … journaling, poetry, short stories, essays, etc. I started writing a memoir in 2005 and have now turned back to that and am excited to give it my writing attention in the future.

drink_wine-read_booksAnd have I mentioned I’m loving every minute of it and don’t miss the business books at all? In the end, what makes me a great entrepreneur is my mind and spirit. And I am feeding it with lots of great fiction, nonfiction, memoirs, poetry, and short stories. And I think not only am I better for it, but so is my business and my clients. Because reading is good for the soul. Yes, even the soul of a business owner. 🙂

Overwhelmed just thinking about the upcoming holiday season? Relax. If you take a little time to plan your holiday season, it will be more enjoyable for you and your family! Focus on practicing good organizational techniques and time management principles.  Here are some tips to make the holidays enjoyable and the new year start off in a positive manner.

Setting Your Goals for the Holiday Season

  • Christmas_treeWe are pulled in so many different directions during the holidays: travel, family gatherings, parties and social events, shopping, baking, decorating, etc. As yourself: What do I want? This question is an invaluable guide for the holiday season. Think about what you want to do, as opposed to what you think others expect of you. Decide on your goals for the holiday season. Do you want to spend quality time with family? Do you want to try your hand at hosting or baking? Or, do you want to relax and enjoy quiet time? Achieving your goals and creating a meaningful holiday season requires that you have smart plans in place, especially if you want to enjoy the season without overindulging or stressing out.
  • It is difficult to keep all of the mental clutter associated with the holidays in our head! Keep a ‘holiday central’ notebook or create a memo in your handheld device. List items you want to do (notice I didn’t say need to do!), gifts to be purchased, people to send cards to, etc. Create a holiday budget so you know what you want to spend and stick to it.

Dealing with Holiday Schedule Overload

  • holiday_stressorsAll the things you want to do over the holiday season can bring pressure if you don’t bring your wants and needs into alignment and into a manageable schedule. Holiday joy comes from balance and choosing the activities that are fulfilling for you. Avoid taking on too much at this time of year. If you’re feeling too pressured, look for activities that you can reschedule until after the holidays, delegate, or say no to. Recognize that you can’t do everything, especially if you want to enjoy your holiday season!  Ask yourself: What is the worst thing that will happen if I don’t do this?
  • Identify and avoid triggers. If going to certain events or seeing certain family or friends stresses you out and always ruins your holiday experience, avoid that activity. If you must attend, shorten your visit. If you are watching what you eat, plan ahead by eating a small healthy meal at home, so you won’t be as hungry at the event. Or plan out what you will eat at the event, allowing yourself a few treats that you only get to have once per year and stick to your plan.
  • If you regularly exercise, don’t stop over the holidays! Carve out time for exercise, even if it is not as much time as you usually do. The holidays are stressful enough – don’t miss out on a great form of natural stress relief!

The payoff to all of this planning? You won’t have post-holiday regret syndrome! You’ll be calmer and more available to enjoy the company of your family and friends, and you’ll start the new year feeling empowered.

Have you been asked to give a presentation and are scared to death and aren’t sure how to pull it off?

It’s main street, Geyserville Avenue, has wine tasting rooms, family-owned restaurants, the Geyserville Mud coffee shop, a local deli and a general store. The town is at the crossroads of world-class wineries, and yet manages to avoid a touristy crowded feeling. Geyserville is  the epitome of small town authentic Wine Country charm.

Venue – The Geyserville Inn

Tucked amidst the picturesque vineyards and mountains of Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley, The Geyserville Inn is the quintessential Northern California Wine Country getaway and the only area hotel located in a vineyard. Locally owned and operated by two generations of Christensen family members, the Inn blends all the comfort and elegance of a contemporary boutique hotel with the intimacy, warmth and unhurried ambiance of a rustic bed and breakfast.

GeyseervilleInnAn affordable alternative to the more expensive Healdsburg and Napa Valley Hotels, The Geyserville Inn boasts 38 guest rooms and 3 suites with views of the pool or neighboring vineyards.

Located next door to the Inn, the Inn’s signature dining spot, the award-winning Geyserville Grille, is a cherished Sonoma landmark for over a century. This beautifully restored Craftsman-style bungalow showcases authentic California Wine Country cuisine coupled with an extensive selection of local vintages to pair with any dish. It was just recently renovated and boasts a new gorgeous bar, outdoor seating areas, and remodeled interior spaces.

Transportation & Directions

The Geyserville Inn
21714 Geyserville Ave
Geyserville, CA 95441
(707) 857-4343

www.geyservilleinn.com

Located just 75 miles north of San Francisco and convenient to Napa-Mendocino Route 128, The Geyserville Inn is tucked between the Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys. This serene and beautiful inn, encircled by the mountains and vineyards of Sonoma County, is perfectly placed for a relaxing getaway.

There are several means of transportation to get to the retreat that we have outlined below. Once you register, you will have access to our private Facebook group and can try to find attendees to travel with for all or part of the way.

By Car: Directions from the San Francisco area by car can be found on the Inn’s website at http://www.geyservilleinn.com/contact-us-en.html. Parking is free at the Inn.

By Air: There are several airports to fly into, such as San Francisco Airport, Sacramento Airport and Oakland Airport. We recommend you fly into San Francisco Airport (SFO), which is approximately 75 miles south of Geyserville. http://www.flysfo.com From there, you can take a shuttle bus, coordinate transportation with one of the local attendees that may be driving from that area, or rent a car.

By Shuttle Bus: For those flying into San Francisco Airport, we recommend you book a shuttle using Airport Express, which drops you off at Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa, about 15-20 minutes away from the Inn. Airport Express is an upscale shuttle bus that costs $34 each way, has free Wifi, and leaves every hour (check online for the latest accurate information). The trip to Sonoma takes approximately 2 hours, but is a beautiful ride through gorgeous landscape and the shuttle buses are clean and comfortable. Book directly at http://airportexpressinc.com.

We will try to coordinate pick ups on Thursday November 9, the day of arrival, from Santa Rosa (where the shuttle drops you off) to transport you to the Inn. Hopefully, we will be able to accommodate everyone but it depends on time of arrival and how many local cars we will have available. We will share additional means of transportation from Santa Rosa at a later date if we determine that many of you need to get to the Inn from  there.

If you have any additional questions about transportation, please let us know. We are happy to help! Email my Online Business Manager, Deb, at Deborah@LisaMontanaro.com.

It may be nice for those staying longer to enjoy one more chance to connect with new friends.

Purpose, Passion, Productivity Retreat
for Women Entrepreneurs & Leaders

I had the absolute pleasure of hosting my first Purpose, Passion, Productivity Retreat for Women Entrepreneurs & Leaders in California Wine Country in November 2014. A dozen women came from all over the country to focus on improving their personal and professional development while nourishing their soul, enjoying beautiful scenery, and savoring delicious food and wine.

I hope to make this an annual event, and am even considering holding it in other locations, including the Northeast and possibly Italy in the future.

SheilaDelson“Lisa, working with you these past months has s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d me beyond what I knew into a realm of possibility because the journey allowed me to break out of my own self-imposed shackles. It was hard work; I did a lot of kicking and screaming! Yet you were always there to support my every challenge with the comfort of your knowledge and expertise. You helped me to do what I needed to so that ‘my work’ could continue and grow. There is a lot more to do, but I now have a road map so I know how to get there. Fabulous! Thank you!” ~ Sheila Delson, CPO-CD, FREEDomain Concepts, LLC

Christine-Sinclair“What a fantastic  Women’s Enterprise Development Center Mastermind Class last night! I always get so much from your classes, but this last class blew my socks off. Everyone was changed last night. We all stayed after you left and talked about what happened for quite a while afterwards. I’m so sorry to see the classes coming to a close. Thanks so much for everything.” ~ Christine Sinclair

natasharickert“Wow! Where do I begin when it comes to sharing about the bottom line impact that the Successfully Self Employed Semester offered by LMG University has had on my business, goals and perspective?! Some of the value I received in participating in this 12 week program was knowing that I’m going to save a ton of time and money implementing what I learned, versus stumbling around on my own trying to figure it out. During SSES, we thoroughly discussed the crucial topics needed to be a successful business owner. Due to Lisa’s exceptional expertise, as well as the camaraderie and team spirit of the participants, I accomplished several goals and tasks promptly and efficiently while learning how to increase my sales, legally protect, and automate my business. Belonging to a group of entrepreneurs who come with their unique backgrounds and experiences complimented by Lisa’s invaluable knowledge and business savvy, we were able to walk through personal and professional fears, and gain broader perspectives around what may be going on behind the scenes. We addressed some of the deeper issues holding us and our businesses back. What a gift to receive on-the-spot input, ideas and constructive feedback regarding my elevator speech, marketing materials, legal business status, and so much more. If you’re looking for a program that will show you how to maximize results and profits over the long haul, I highly recommend Lisa Montanaro’s Successfully Self Employed Semester.” ~ Natasha Rickert, www.EnergytoOrganize.com

SusanChitwood2“Lisa is top notch! She is inspiring, encouraging and cuts to the heart of the issue to offer right on solutions. And she’s entertaining (and organized) to boot!” ~ Susan Chitwood, Maypop Design

Here’s my promise to you:

  • You will not just feel like another “butt in a seat” or like you are lost in a sea of people. You will receive personalized attention and support.
  • We will not just “scratch the surface” with a bunch of boring templates that you have already have seen a hundred times. We will delve into the heart and soul of who you are, what needs to change, and how you will change it.
  • I will not just gloss over what really needs to be said. We will tend to the deeper longings and transformation necessary to make the lasting changes and radical results you are ready for.
  • You will not have to sit for hours on end listening to a talking head. You will engage, interact and experience so what we do becomes a part of who you are, making it easy to bring back into your life and business/work.
  • I will not just focus on the personal development side so that you worry how to apply this to your professional business endeavors. You will receive guidance so you can ground it all into a viable professional model.
  • I will not just focus on the business so that you are left feeling void of meaning and that your personal life, interests, passions, and soul are not accounted for. I well help you feel at ease to authentically and effectively bring forth your personal side.
  • I will not just be putting on a show that leaves you questioning what you came for. I will ensure you feel seen, honored, and appreciated so that you can unearth who you are and become aligned with who you want to become so that you shine brighter than ever before.

It is your time! Time for you to focus on your personal and professional purpose. Time to move forward as the brave, beautiful, bold woman entrepreneur or leader that you know you can be, and as a collaborative group of powerful energy.

Why California Wine Country? The Inspiration for the Purpose, Passion, Productivity Retreat

Typical landscape with rows of grapes in the wine growing regioI love Tuscany and Provence, the wine country regions of Italy and France. When I relocated to California and discovered the California Wine Country, I fell in love with it, and realized that I had this beautiful gem in my backyard. I now want to share it with you.

California Wine Country has a world-wide reputation. And it’s no wonder! It’s a major wine-producing region, foodie lovers paradise, with a mild climate and stunning scenery. I’ve deliberately chosen this place for you! People gather from all over the world to experience this soul-nourishing place. California Wine Country is a perfect backdrop for personal and professional development and enrichment. It enhances creative thinking and problem solving. The rolling hills, verdant landscapes, and fruit growing vines bathe visitors with a sense of hope and renewal, regardless of the season. The spectacular trails and overlooks provide numerous opportunities for hiking, exploration, communing with nature, and escaping from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and work.

In some ways, I am still a newcomer to California Wine Country, as I only just relocated to Northern California in July 2012. But don’t fret! I have personally scouted out the perfect locations for our retreat experiences, and still have the enthusiasm, excitement and eagerness of a newbie that has fallen in love with a place, a mood, an environment and a lifestyle. From the first time I visited California Wine Country, I felt at home in a way. It evoked the fond memories I have of Tuscany and Provence, and made me grateful to have this gem of a region so close by.

It has been my dream for many years to gather women like you in a phenomenal setting like this so that I can help you unwind, reconnect, step into your power and transform your life and business in meaningful ways. Now that dream is coming true… for me, and if you join me in November, for you too!

There’s nothing like immersing yourself in a completely different environment, especially one deliberately designed for your ease to catapult you to the next level.

Adriane Weinberg“I enjoyed your Kick Butt Business Bootcamp hosted by the NAPO-Greater Philadelphia Chapter. The content was fabulous. But even more so, I want to thank you for patiently and comprehensively answering all of my questions! In 13 years of being a business owner, I can’t remember having an opportunity to ask one person such a variety of questions about running and marketing a business. What an amazing opportunity! Many other attendees thanked me afterward for asking so many relevant questions that all of us really wanted to know the answers to. Thank you again!” ~ Adriane Weinberg, www.organizedapproach.com

I’m prepared to give you the best of the best in service so you can create your purpose and live your passion in business and life, on your terms, and have fun while doing it!

NOTE – If You Are Not a Wine Drinker: Not everyone drinks wine (or any type of alcoholic beverage for that matter). Please be aware that non-alcoholic drinks will be available at every meal, you will not be pressured to taste wine if you choose not to, and you will not be made to feel uncomfortable in any way. The Wine Country is more than wine! It is a culture, mood, and experience. It is about living a life of passion, enjoying nature, slowing down, and savoring every moment. The area will entice you with its romance even if you never drink a drop of wine! 🙂

MS Butler.jpg“Lisa is the most inspirational, influential, and motivating coach to experience. I have had her coach me as a mastermind mentor for the WED/PEP Program, and now for her own La Dolce Vita Program from LMG University. She is the only one that I trust as a mentor, and have found that as an entrepreneur my ideas for all of my passionate pursuits became both clear and organized after attending her programs. Lisa uses a real hands on approach to work within so that you will empower yourself, and also will be able to dig deep in order to pursue your true passion and turn it into a future filled with profitable benefits. I would highly recommend Lisa! Upon completion of one of her programs or events, you will be aware that anything that you may have previously found to be out of your reach or you may have thought to be impossible will now and always become possible.” ~ M.S. Butler

“Lisa is an amazing Renaissance Woman of many talents. She is passionate about her work. She makes her work FUN. Lisa is the ultimate problem solver. I love listening to Lisa during our group coaching sessions where she skillfully listens and then offers her suggestions, ALWAYS with respect, kindness and CLARITY. In Lisa’s group coaching program, she acknowledges each person’s concerns. She points out the positive things that they do and helps problem solve how they can do something different. There is no criticism. Lisa is warm, caring and passionate about helping others do and be the best that they can. It is helpful to hear others tell their stories as it makes you feel that you are not alone. Also, to receive encouragement from others is helpful — we are all in this together. I am so pleased to have been a part of her group coaching program and look forward to joining one of her programs again in the future.” ~ Mena Messina Genetti, Warwick, NY

BrittNewman“Here’s the difference between you and others: You give CONTENT. You offer true ideas and pieces that I can use. Many other coaches/speakers are teases – it’s all about marketing for the next venture, and nothing to walk away with. I have always known that there is more to you than just finding the next client. Thank you for really sharing things that can be implemented. I really believe your passion is about helping people and businesses to become their best. Thank you for truly sharing from your wealth of knowledge. You are a whirlwind of energy, innovation, and authenticity. Thank you for sharing and thank you for caring. Cheers!” ~ Britt Newman, Britt Newman Design Concepts

She’s Lisa Montanaro, and she was one of our favorite teleclass guest experts last year. As I mentioned Lisa is multi-talented but what I really like about her is her approachability. Speaking to an expert can be a little intimidating but Lisa knows how to answer the tough questions while making sure you truly understand the answers.” ~ Angela Ploetz, A Red Bench

You share with us very practical and useful information that we can apply to our businesses and our personal lives. You provide the right balance between sharing and allowing us to reflect, ask questions, and comment. Also, thank you for being transparent, and sharing your successes and challenges that you have encountered in your business. This is both refreshing and gives us encouragement. Your Purpose, Passion, Productivity Retreat Host: Lisa Montanaro

Lisa_Montanaro3Often referred to as a pint-sized power house, Lisa Montanaro is living proof that good things really do come in small packages! A dynamo in high heels, Lisa is a Productivity Consultant, Success Coach, Business Strategist, Speaker and Author. She is also a multi-passionate modern-day Renaissance woman, entrepreneur and adventurer.

Realizing that she could make a bigger impact, Lisa “defected” from her decade-long, high-pressure, six-figure law career upon the heels of the 9-11 tragedy and founded her business, Lisa Montanaro Global Enterprises in 2002 to fully capture the holistic approach her work takes in improving personal and professional development at all levels. She has helped thousands of people live successful and passionate lives, and enjoy productive and profitable businesses and careers. Her online learning platform, LMG University.com, provides courses globally to improve people’s lives, businesses and careers.

Lisa is an inaugural Certified Professional Organizer (CPO®), a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), and the National Speakers Association (NSA). A sought-after speaker, Lisa has presented professionally to audiences throughout the United States, has been interviewed by television and radio hosts, and is a frequent presenter and guest expert for teleclasses and webinars. Her practical programs, enthusiasm, humor and energy inspire participants to take action and implement new techniques designed to improve their personal and professional effectiveness. Lisa’s work has been featured in the media, and her written content has been widely published online and in print. She is the author of The Ultimate Life Organizer: An Interactive Guide to a Simpler, Less Stressful & More Organized Life, published by Peter Pauper Press.

Always one to live life to the fullest and embrace change, Lisa started a new adventure in July 2012 when she and her husband, Sean, a veterinarian, and their two very sweet but spoiled dogs, Dublin and Jerry, moved 3,000 miles clear across the country from New York to Northern California. Lisa loves that she can run her business from anywhere in the world. She’s living proof, having successfully transitioned to a business that allows her to live a lifestyle in alignment with her values and desires while running a thriving business. Lisa has successfully created her purpose and very much lives her passion, and now makes it her mission to help others do the same!

Lisa is passionate about teaching her tribe how to be smart, sassy, soulful entrepreneurs and leaders with rock-solid systems to make great money while working less. Lisa’s core message — Create Your Purpose, Live Your Passion — helps clients, online program participants, and live audience members tap into their Renaissance spirit, and consider dreams never realized and possibilities never investigated due to limiting beliefs that cause us to hold back, give up, and play small.

Through her own experience of following her dreams, and incorporating her passions into her career and business, Lisa shows the incredible strength and courage inside of us all just waiting to be ignited. Lisa says “Living your passion takes risk, but that risk is a small price to pay for being able to avoid a watered down version of your life and work!”

Amy Rehkemper“A pint-sized powerhouse…. that is how to describe Lisa Montanaro after seeing her in action at the amazing Kick-Butt Business Boot Camp held in Baltimore, MD for a select group of professional organizers that were ready to up-level their businesses. Lisa delivered on her promise to provide high-level content backed up by real-life examples garnered from her years of experience as a business coach and successful entrepreneur running her own business. She not only gives you solid tips and tools, but answers tons of questions and does mini-coaching moments on the spot so that attendees can tailor the content to their own businesses and learn from hearing her answers to other attendees. She is approachable, funny, and whip-smart too! What a winning combination! Attendees said they got their money’s worth and more, and were excited to implement the best practices into their businesses. Want to ensure that your business building event is a success? Make sure it includes Lisa Montanaro!” ~ Amy Rehkemper, NAPO Baltimore Chapter

Lisa_and_Lisa_Luken_sm“I am honored to have been part of Lisa Montanaro’s first Purpose, Passion, Productivity Retreat in California. After doing business coaching with Lisa for several months, I knew the retreat would be nothing short of spectacular. I am thrilled to say that it exceeded my expectations! Not only did I have many revelations from the retreat content, each participant taught me something on a personal level. I loved spending time getting to know the other attendees and it was fun exploring new places (restaurants, wineries, shops) with them.

I am anxious to put my ideas into action for both my business and personal life and I look forward to connecting with the rest of the brilliant women (whom I now consider my friends) again in the future. Thank you, Lisa, for a fabulous weekend!”

“It was a pleasure spending such quality time with amazing ladies at the Purpose, Passion, Productivity Retreat! I loved the camaraderie, the sharing and the inspiration with everyone. Looking forward to staying in touch to celebrate successes and share challenges on this journey.

One of the most valuable things for me was how Lisa pulled back the curtain and let us see how her business actually works. Also sharing the systems she has in place was terrific – like the spreadsheets. And of course her endless enthusiasm! 🙂

Lisa Montanaro, thank you for pulling it together and being our fearless leader – you rock girlfriend! You are an amazing and inspiring multi-talented lady!”

~ Laurie Wann, http://intentionalentrepreneurs.com

Suzanne Hobbs“At the Purpose, Passion, Productivity Retreat I learned to: ‘Dream big, stake your claim and create the future you desire!’ It was magical! What an outstanding group! Thank you, Lisa Montanaro.”

Lisa_and_Mary_Rossow_sm“The circles under my eyes are not from exhaustion. They are from profound and deep relaxation. That’s the residual effect of the Purpose, Passion & Productivity Retreat hosted by Lisa Montanaro in Wine Country in the Fall of 2014.

The way our food was selected and openly and gleefully shared was very symbolic of our entire Purpose Passion Productivity Retreat: * all different tastes, styles & preferences “bellied up to the table” * lots of questioning the expert, trusting her guidance * much positive enthusiasm & encouragement to taste new unfamiliar things * sincere sharing of everything in the circle in front of us * adventurous nibbles * gratitude & generosity for being well served * contented satisfaction, a feeling of being “fueled” with unique & quality tidbits — HOW WONDERFULLY DELICIOUS!

“I suggest you PRE-PRE-REGISTER for Lisa Montanaro’s next retreat. It will fill up fast, as all of us with her in the Wine Country this weekend want to be at the next one… no matter which CONTINENT it is on. (Read between THOSE lines!!!)

~ Mary E. Rossow, www.RossowResources.com

Anne_Navach_sm“I’m sending my ‘thank you love note’. I’m so glad to have been able to participate in the Purpose, Passion, Productivity Retreat for soooo many reason. Thank you for all the work you and Deb (your online business manager) did to make it an amazing experience. I was a pleasure to meet all of the ladies and get to know more about them, their lives and businesses. I look forward to staying connected with all of them! And I look forward to working on my action items.

On a completely different note, I wanted to compliment you on how put together you always look, even when going to the spa! :-)”

Anna_Jacoby_sm“I can’t believe how helpful Lisa’s Purpose, Passion & Productivity retreat was for me. Three days of dedicated time to focus on business and life issues, in a beautiful area like California Wine Country, is a necessary gift every business owner should give him or herself. As a solopreneur for 15 years, I’ve attended many seminars and conferences and learned things along the way, but there’s something about Lisa’s delivery, her knowledge, and her incredible passion that makes it clear that she is exceptional at what she does. She has a way of getting you to delve deep inside yourself, to really examine your goals and aspirations, and to push through the obstacles standing in your way. Lisa has a gift for working with people. She is very warm and approachable, yet very professional. She is extremely knowledgeable about business and is also a inspirational model of balanced living. I highly recommend Lisa, and definitely look forward to her next retreat.”

Summer is the Perfect Time to Participate in a Program Like This.

summer_campWe’ll start Thursday, June 12th and go for 8 weeks (jumping over the July 4th week). This program can be done from the comfort of your own home or office. You can be lounging by your pool, swinging in the hammock, or sitting on your deck with a glass of lemonade. That is the beauty of a virtual program. All you need is your telephone, and perhaps a computer/tablet/smart phone if you want to take it a step further.

We named this the Speak Up Summer Camp Program for a reason. Su mmer is a perfect time to take a virtual program. You want to enjoy your summer, and any travel you do will most likely be a family vacation. We get that!

What did you want to be when you grew up? It is never too late to be who you meant to be! Are you afraid to even say out loud what you want for yourself this month, this year, or this lifetime? What would it be like to receive acknowledgment and support for your vision, not to mention a complete toolkit for getting exactly what you want? In this inspiring presentation, you will be introduced to and have the opportunity to dream big, stake your claim and begin to take action toward creating the future you desire and deserve. Learn how to surround yourself with “believing eyes,” tap into your passions, and think holistically about how to be a multi-passionate person in your career/work, hobbies, volunteer opportunities, and travel.
